Blackmagic/PAL/OSX 10.9 Bug

Last Updated: Apr 01, 2014 11:32AM PDT

UPDATE: This issue is resolved! Update Blackmagic drivers to v10.0.0 and Streambox Encoder to v3.161.(any)

Audio sync errors when using a supported Blackmagic Input Device it feed PAL-format video into a Streambox Encoder product (Streambox HD/SD Hybrid Encoder or StreamboxME Pro) on a Mac computer running OSX 10.9 “Mavericks”.

Due to an error in the available Blackmagic drivers, and its interaction with OSX 10.9 Mavericks, any Streambox Encoder product will have audio sync problems.

None as yet; the problem is in the Blackmagic Drivers as they work with OSX, and is beyond Streambox’s control.  We have informed Blackmagic of the issue and await a new drive release for testing.  Currently the (bugged) version of the Blackmagic drivers are v9.3.3.

You can check this Blackmagic website for the most recent drivers:
